About Me

In addition to being a hard-working, dedicated student, I am an extremely creative person. Ever since I was a child I always found myself drawing, painting, or attempting to make creations out of paper. I use the word “attempting” because none of my paper creations as a child ever matched up to the expectations I had in my head. However, as I got older, making physical 3D works of art became my passion. I constantly found myself turning school projects into art pieces that I could feel proud of and, rather selfishly, show off to the teachers and students around me. The look of awe I would receive after showing them my work was always a fulfilling experience; however, it was never as fulfilling as the moments I was able to look at my own work and say to myself, “I can’t believe I made that with my own two hands.” I love being able to use my mind and hands to create so many unique things – no matter if it’s a 3D piece of art I’ve crafted, or a 2D piece of art I’ve written. The older I become, the more I realize how important it is to express myself and take pride in my work. While I’ve never thought of myself as an “artist” per say, I like to think of myself as a creative individual who understands and values the beauties of the world around me. Like all great works of art, I am still a work in progress, but that does not make me any less unique or incomplete.
