There once was a girl with the most beautiful, perfect eyes anyone had ever seen. Growing up, people often complimented her on having such flawless eyes. However, as she grew older, she started to become obsessed with her own eyes. She began mocking other people who did not have eyes as beautiful and perfect as hers.
The older she grew, the more she noticed how her vision was not as sharp as it had been before. She tried to ignore her troubling eyesight but began to get painful headaches whenever she focused on something for too long. After discussing her eye troubles with her parents, they took her to the optometrist. Once there, it was decided that she needed glasses. She was horrified. Her eyes were her entire identity and now had to be covered by thick frames and glass. After she left the optometrist with her new glasses, she sobbed uncontrollably. She continued to sob every day and curse the horrid glasses that concealed her beautiful eyes.
Shortly after, while her parents were taking her to school, they got into a car crash. Her glasses ended up shattering, and small fragments of the glass were lodged into her eye sockets. Unable to fix the damage to her eyes from the glass, the doctors pronounced her permanently blind.
At least she did not have to wear glasses again.
